Choosing the right company to host your website can be tricky. We’ve tried several companies and have found most of them to be unreliable in some way. Companies to stay away from: GoDaddy, JustHost, BlueHost, and Brinkster — just to name a few.
The right hosting company should have stellar customer service, great packages, and decent prices. I say decent because the cheaper you go … well, the more problems you will find.
We recommend two web hosting companies. The cheaper one, 1and1 Web Hosting, has never given us any problems. We typically use the Business Package, which is a great bargain. This is the package you want if you are an author or small business (something more than a simple personal site).
The other hosting company we recommend is Liquid Web Hosting. We use Liquid Web for our Tekeme site. We love their customer service. They respond VERY fast and always know much more than we do, which is great and better than talking to people who are reading answers from a sheet in front of them. These guys know what they’re doing. They have a great amount of space, and their Control Panel is very easy to use.
Overall, we have never had any problems with either of these hosting companies. And we’ve worked with both of them over a long span of time. Sometimes our clients come to us with hosting packages from other companies… and we end up having so many issues. The two listed here have given us absolutely no problems, and if someone has complained about something… it’s rare and the customer service handles the problem in no time. If you want to switch your hosting from your current provider to one of these, ask us for details and we’ll help you make the switch.
So, if you plan on growing and growing your business or website, we suggest Liquid Web. However, if you just need a simple business or personal site with a few add-on’s I’d go with 1and1. Both of these fully support WordPress.
Stay away from GoDaddy, JustHost, BlueHost, and Brinkster!!
