Our Process

Please read over our process before choosing a package and making a deposit. If you have any questions please contact us. We are more than happy to discuss our guidelines over the phone before you choose to work with us, just let us know.

Look Around & Talk to Us

Peruse our site and get a feel for what we do and whether or not it suits your style and design needs. Then, set up a phone call with us if you would like to talk before committing to a project.

We do not believe we are the perfect design company for everyone, which is why we begin every process with a no obligation preliminary assessment. At this point, if you choose to work with us we will move on to Step 2.

Find the Right Package

Choose a pre-created package on our site and click “More Info.” Fill out the form only when you are ready to pay a deposit. You will be prompted to pay after you fill out the form.

Custom packages are also available upon request. If you don’t find what you are looking for you can fill out the Request a Quote form here to create your own custom package.

Pay Deposit & Get Started

At this point we have laid the foundation of our working relationship, and now we are ready to get started.

After you pay your deposit we will send you a development plan highlighting your project’s production week and completion date. All deposits are non-refundable, even if the job is canceled. After you pay the deposit you will be re-directed to a questionnaire. Fill out this online questionnaire with all necessary information and be as detailed as possible. This is the design questionnaire. The more details, the better. Once we receive payment and your signature, we will officially scribble your name on our calendar and let the fun begin!

All projects under $500 require a deposit of at least $300. If the project is under $300, the full price is due as a deposit in order to secure a place on our schedule. All deposits are non-refundable and there are no exceptions. We now offer payment plans for deposits as well. Please check out the payment plans page for more info.

Phone Call & Design Details

Send your questionnaire to us. If you haven’t received a development plan by now, you will receive one within the next 24 hours and you will find yourself on our calendar. On your questionnaire will be a place to fill out your available times for a phone call. We will schedule the phone call and send you an email to verify.

We will talk on the phone about your project and make sure everyone is on the same page. We will discuss design details and ask any questions that we may have after reading your questionnaire. You can also ask us anything you’d like about the next steps and what to expect.

The Creative Stage

We will begin working on your project and once we have something wonderful created we will send you the design review, along with a revision sheet to fill out.

Before this stage of the process is complete, you will be able to review mock designs of your project. If you are purchasing more than one option, you will review the options and we will discuss what you like/dislike about each one.

All of our sites and blogs are designed for IE10 and above. Sites are not designed especially for mobile devices unless added on to a package for an additional fee.

Design Review & Changes

Send us the review sheet within 24 hours. We will make desired changes and send it back to you for final approval.

After we have settled on the foundation of your project design, we will move forward into the development. If your project is purely designed for print (not web-based) we will spend a great deal of time perfecting your design, going over details, and discussing the project with you via email and/or phone. If your project is web-based we will also begin development and programming. However, we must determine the look and feel of the site before we begin programming. Once we begin programming any graphical alterations will not be included within the package.

If it is web-based, we will need your full balance (or payment plan initiated) at this point in order to move forward. If it is print-based, we will send you the files or send them to the printer.

We keep a separate schedule for programming. So once your design is approved and ready for programming and your balance is paid (or your payment plan is initiated) we will schedule you for your programming. That means you go on Ashley’s list for website programming. If there is one person ahead of you, you will be scheduled accordingly and you will receive the dates once your balance is paid or payment plan starts. This will include your projected completion date as well.

The Production Phase

If your project is not web-based you will print, review, and examine your design for any errors and supply us with any changes to be made.

If your project is web-based you will be able to view your site through a Test Center on our Web site. Or, if you are purchasing CMS or WordPress, we will set the site up on your own server or ours if you go with our web hosting packages. (With CMS and WordPress packages we require the balance payment before moving on to implementation, please discuss this with us for details.)

This will allow you to click through everything, view your content, images, and fully functioning site. The site will not be live until you approve it. Please keep in mind that no graphic alterations are made at this point without an additional charge. This is the stage to go over layout, text placement, etc. Graphic design for web should be approved after the initial preview. Most packages include 1 round of up to 5 revisions. Some pacakges include more. Depending on your package, you will make your changes and this stage will be reserved for ONLY layout changes (no graphic alterations).

Final Review

You will review the final product and report to us any final changes that need to be made or adjusted. We will make the changes and . . . well . . . this marks the finish line! To put it simply, this is where we hand over the keys.

If your project is print-based, we will supply you with the proper files to deliver to your printer. If web-based, your site will be launched onto your Web Hosting and viewable to the public.

All web design and blog design projects are available on your web host, but we do not hand over PSD files unless an additional fee is paid. This is another way we are able to offer such low prices. If you would like your PSD files, we can provide them to you for a fee based on the project’s complexity. Please talk to us to receive an accurate quote.
