Choosing a Web Host

Choosing the right company to host your website can be tricky. We’ve tried several companies and have found most of them to be unreliable in some way. Companies to stay away from: GoDaddy, JustHost, BlueHost, and Brinkster — just to name a few.

The right hosting company should have stellar customer service, great packages, and decent prices. I say decent because the cheaper you go … well, the more problems you will find.

We can recommend Liquid Web Hosting without second thought. Yes, they are more expensive. For some people it doesn’t seem worth it. But when your website is hacked you will regret spending $8 a month versus the price it costs to have your files hosted on a secure host with amazing customer service. We use Liquid Web for all of our own websites, and always recommend nothing but Liquid Web to our clients. Even if you have a simple WordPress.org website set-up with a theme, we recommend Liquid Web as your web host. It can cost over $20 a month, but it’s worth it to us and we can’t honestly recommend any other hosting company over them. We love their customer service. They respond VERY fast and always know much more than we do, which is great and better than talking to people who are reading answers from a sheet in front of them. These guys know what they’re doing. They have a great amount of space, and their Control Panel is very easy to use for beginners.

Are you already on a different hosting company? Perhaps GoDaddy, which many people seem to flock to because their sensual advertising has done its job and gotten the attention of the public. Well, if you are, it’s time to move. We are so serious about this that we are even willing to help you migrate your files for free, just to see you on a better web host. But chances are you can handle it on your own too. I would even transfer over domains onto Liquid Web and be done completely with these cheaper hosting companies.

At least, if you do stay with a cheaper option, stay away from GoDaddy. We dissuade people from hosting their files there for many reasons. And they are at the top of our list for worst web host in the universe. The absolute best? Liquid Web. Check ‘em out for yourself and see if the reasons are worth it!
