About
We love people. We love creativity. And we love bringing visions to life. That’s why we do what we do. That’s why we (George and Ashley Weis) started Tekeme Studios in the Fall of 2007. Now, over three years later we are amazed at how far God has taken this husband and wife duo!
So, here we are, doing what we love to do and making friends along the way.
If you need a new design for pretty much anything you can think of, a new Web site, book cover, or a new brand and identity altogether, we’re eager to help. Our services are broad and our creative energy is even broader. We offer a thirty-minute free consultation to all new clients with no obligation to work with us, so you can be assured that we are the right match before paying a dime.
Behind the Screens
I know, you probably find it hard to believe. But yes, it’s true. We do have lives outside of Tekeme. Okay, okay, so we often answer emails lightening fast at all hours of the day (and night!) and we tend toward late hours in front of our screens, but I can assure you we have lives outside of this.
Okay, who’m I trying to convince?
Sigh.
Anyway, ask George to describe his soul in three words and this is the answer you will receive: yearning, pondering, peaceful. He is a learner and a teacher. He loves history (particularly Church History) and he’s a family guy. He’s sensitive, gentle, and the ultimate peace maker.
He’s not just a graphic designer, he’s an artist. Although he would blush and say, “I’m not that good. Really.” But anyone who knows George knows better. He can decorate the house better than his wife. He can create all the art on the walls. He can draw, paint, sculpt, write and sing music, and he wants to try his hand at carving wood.
Yes, he’s the creative genius in the house, although his kids (we have three under the age of three) are beginning to usurp him with her chocolate milk and spaghettio masterpieces.
Ashley, on the other hand, is what George calls a craftsmanwoman. She may be the left brain of the Tekeme duo, but she loves art—everything from film to music. And although she doesn’t have quite as many creative juices as George, she can draw a picture by looking at it. Create? Nope. Copy? Sure thing!
She is not only a business partner, she also has published two books and runs a non-profit for wives healing after a husband’s secret addiction is exposed. She wears many, many hats, but her favorite hats are wife and mommy.
